- This channel focuses on the attractions and animal welfare of great apes (Chimpanzee, Gorilla, Orangutan).
We praise zoos that are proactive about animal welfare and environmental enrichment,
and strongly criticize those that are passive about animal welfare and environmental enrichment,
and demand that animal welfare be implemented.
*Environmental enrichment is a measure to reduce
their mental and physical stress and have them live a happy life from the standpoint of an ape,
not from a human convenience or emotion.
Among them,
foraging enrichment (installing puzzle feeders and increasing the number of meals so that apes can lead a rich life) can be done at low cost.

みんな暑い所は無駄なエネルギー使わずゴロゴロいいですね！コサチちゃんの顔だちもしっかりしてきましたね。サチコママも幾分健康的に見えました。自分事ですが10年以上前にズーラシアへ行った時の写真が出てきたのですがケンジと映って居る2歳くらいの子共チンパンジーがフクちゃんか、マリモか区別がつかずなんかモヤモヤ笑長文で失礼しました。ありがとうございました😊🙏

Little Kosachi is the "Sleeping Beauty" 😍 It's interesting that she's 11 months old, but we haven't seen her crawling on the ground yet....maybe Sachiko mama is too overprotective? 🤨 Poor Kenji papa with his arthritis-deformed fingers and toes, it must be very painful to move them😢 Thank you for the update on the troop!
Kenji's finger is bent because of a fight with Kazuya. They usually get along well.Thank you, too.🙏

日本の夏の日差しも最近は痛く感じます。毛がある方が紫外線の害は無くせそうですが、ズーラシアのチンパンジーたちは毛が少ない。全くないわけではないので、暑いしちょうど良いのかも。しかし、暑すぎますね。高齢のチンパンジーたちには何とか乗り切って頂きたいです。
今年が一番熱かったと気象庁が発表してました。どうりで暑かったわけです、っていうかまだまだ暑いですね。それぞれの園は動物に気配りが一段と必要な状況になってきたと感じます。

i hope is airconditioned well inside for my cousins,it must be right?they are in zoo not in jail like Asahiyama jail-zoo
Although the balance between indoor and outdoor space is poor, I don't think it's a big problem because the zoo has a deep love for its chimpanzees.👍️
The sad reality is that any zoo looks good in comparison to Asahiyama.👎
